# Ingredients:

01 - 1 lb thick-cut bacon
02 - 6 mini brioche buns
03 - Romaine lettuce leaves
04 - 2 large beefsteak tomatoes, thinly sliced
05 - Mayonnaise

→ Seasonings & Spices

06 - 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
07 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

→ Garnish & Toppings

08 - Optional: Sharp cheddar cheese slices
09 - Optional: Cayenne pepper

→ Optional Extras

10 - Avocado slices
11 - Caramelized onions

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange bacon slices in a single layer. Combine brown sugar and garlic powder; sprinkle over bacon. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and candied.
02 - Lightly toast mini buns. I usually use a toaster oven for even toasting. Butter lightly.
03 - Spread mayonnaise on bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato, and candied bacon. Top with other bun half. Add cheese if desired.
04 - Serve sliders immediately. They're best enjoyed fresh and warm!
05 - If you want a little kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the candied bacon before assembling the sliders.
06 - For extra creaminess and healthy fats, add some sliced avocado to your sliders!

# Notes:

01 - Don't overcrowd the baking sheet when candying the bacon!
02 - Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days, but the buns might get soggy.
03 - Maple syrup can be used instead of brown sugar, but the flavor is different.
04 - Serve with a crisp salad and a cold beer or lemonade.
