Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange bacon slices in a single layer. Combine brown sugar and garlic powder; sprinkle over bacon. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until crispy and candied.

Lightly toast mini buns. I usually use a toaster oven for even toasting. Butter lightly.

Spread mayonnaise on bottom bun. Add lettuce, tomato, and candied bacon. Top with other bun half. Add cheese if desired.

Serve sliders immediately. They're best enjoyed fresh and warm!

If you want a little kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the candied bacon before assembling the sliders.

For extra creaminess and healthy fats, add some sliced avocado to your sliders!
