# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 6 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - 2 cups all-purpose flour

→ Seasonings & Spices

04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

→ Garnish & Toppings

06 - Vanilla ice cream
07 - Whipped cream

→ Optional Extras

08 - 1/2 cup chopped pecans
09 - 1 tablespoon lemon zest

# Instructions:

01 - Wash, peel, and slice the peaches. I like them kinda chunky. The smell of fresh peaches is amazing at this stage!
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers (my preferred method!).
03 - Pour the peaches into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Crumble the topping evenly over the peaches.
04 - Pour the milk evenly over the topping. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
05 - Let it cool for a bit before serving. It’s hard to wait, I know! But trust me, it’s worth it.
06 - Serve warm, maybe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or whipped cream. Or both!

# Notes:

01 - Don't overbake the cobbler, start checking for doneness around 40 minutes.
02 - Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
03 - Blueberries make a surprisingly good substitute for peaches.
04 - Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
