Wash, peel, and slice the peaches. I like them kinda chunky. The smell of fresh peaches is amazing at this stage!

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry blender or your fingers (my preferred method!).

Pour the peaches into a 9x13 inch baking dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice. Crumble the topping evenly over the peaches.

Pour the milk evenly over the topping. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for about 45-50 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.

Let it cool for a bit before serving. It’s hard to wait, I know! But trust me, it’s worth it.

Serve warm, maybe with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Or whipped cream. Or both!
