Let the butter sit at room temperature until it's soft and spreadable. Don't melt it!

Mince the garlic as finely as possible. A garlic press works wonders, but a knife is perfectly fine too. Just be careful!

In a medium bowl, mash the softened butter with a fork. Add the minced garlic, parsley, chives, lemon zest, oregano, and salt. Mix until everything is evenly combined.

Chill in the fridge for about 30 minutes for firmer butter. This step is totally optional, though!

Serve immediately or store for later. This stuff is delicious on so many things!
