Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Break it up with a spoon as it cooks. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Once the beef is browned, drain off any excess grease. Add the onion and bell pepper and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the diced zucchini and canned tomatoes (undrained!). Simmer for about 10 minutes, or until the zucchini is tender-crisp.

Stir in Worcestershire sauce and season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (optional). Simmer for 5 minutes.

If you prefer a thicker sauce, stir in cornstarch mixed with water. Simmer until thickened, stirring constantly.
