In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Keep a close eye on it, stirring occasionally.

Once the butter is melted, add the minced garlic. Cook for about 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until fragrant and lightly golden.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer for another minute or two. Stir in the salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
