In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn!

Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant. Don’t let it brown!

Add the salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir to combine.

Stir in the fresh parsley and lemon juice (if using).

Take the saucepan off the heat. Let the garlic butter cool slightly before using.
