# Ingredients:

→ Main Ingredients

01 - 1 pound pasta
02 - 1/2 cup butter
03 - 4-6 cloves garlic
04 - 1 large lemon
05 - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

→ Seasonings & Spices

06 - Salt
07 - Pepper

→ Garnish & Toppings

08 - 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

→ Optional Extras

09 - Red pepper flakes
10 - Sun-dried tomatoes
11 - Grilled chicken or shrimp

# Instructions:

01 - Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
02 - While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute, until fragrant. Don't burn the garlic!
03 - Stir in the lemon zest and cook for another 30 seconds. Then, add the lemon juice and let it simmer for a minute.
04 - Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the lemon butter garlic sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Add reserved pasta water if needed.
05 - Stir in the Parmesan cheese and most of the parsley, reserving some for garnish. Toss until the cheese is melted.
06 - Serve immediately, garnished with remaining parsley. Enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Don’t overcook the pasta! Al dente is key.
02 - Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in a pan.
03 - Pecorino Romano is a great substitute for Parmesan.
04 - A simple side salad or crusty bread complements this dish perfectly.
