Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.

While the pasta cooks, melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about a minute, until fragrant. Don't burn the garlic!

Stir in the lemon zest and cook for another 30 seconds. Then, add the lemon juice and let it simmer for a minute.

Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the lemon butter garlic sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Add reserved pasta water if needed.

Stir in the Parmesan cheese and most of the parsley, reserving some for garnish. Toss until the cheese is melted.

Serve immediately, garnished with remaining parsley. Enjoy!
