Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).

Add chicken to the pot and cook until browned. Deglaze the pan with white wine (optional).

Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then simmer with added orzo.

Simmer for 10-12 minutes, or until orzo is cooked through. Stir occasionally.

Stir in lemon zest and juice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
