Wash and trim the okra. Pat dry.

Combine vinegar, water, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper flakes in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar and salt dissolve.

Add okra to boiling brine, reduce heat, and simmer for 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.

Remove okra, transfer to a jar, stir in dill, and cool completely.

Seal jar and refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
