Clean and slice mushrooms to about 1/4 inch thick.

Melt butter in a skillet, add minced garlic, and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Don't burn!

Add mushrooms, cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and releasing moisture.

Pour in white wine (or broth), scraping browned bits from the bottom. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.

Stir in parsley, salt, pepper, and lemon juice (if using). Taste and adjust seasonings.
